Round Table Discussions: Concepts in International Waters and Imagining Foreign Lands
Date:2017 | 09.02 - 10.29
Reception:2017 | 09.02 4pm
Location:Lin & Lin Gallery.Taipei
Lin & Lin Gallery is pleased to announce the cooperation with Chinese curator Cui Can Can, inviting six Chinese artists: Li Bin Yuan, Li Qing, Qin Qi, Zhang Yue, Zhao Zhao, and Zhou YiLun, together present the curative project: Round Table Discussion: Concepts in International Waters and Imagining Foreign Lands. This is an exhibition different from others in the past, because it does not carry any “Chinese features” that we have experienced before. It is not about the renaissance of Chinese traditional civilization, nor about the impact of consumerism and commercialization on China, nor is it about the close connection between the history of Chinese contemporary art and the social development of China's central regions or cities. In other words, the exhibition deliberately break away from the artist's country and regional manner, and tries to present clues and perspectives beyond national identity and historicism.
