The LIN & LIN Gallery is going to present the solo exhibition by Liu Wei from 10th March to 22nd April. This is Liu’s third solo exhibition at Lin & Lin Gallery, presenting several works on paper, as well as “Seven Sages of The Bamboo Grove,” which is his largest size of oil painting in the recent years. Being recognized as the most talented and Cynical Realism artist, Liu Wei’s works have been worldwide collected by some art museums, art organizations and collectors, and he is a significant artist in nowadays Chinese contemporary art.
 
Born in 1965 in China and graduated from Printmaking Department in Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989. Liu Wei became one of the representative artists of the 89 art movement and being recognized as the most important artist of Cynical Realism. He had been invited to exhibit in la Biennale di Venezia in 1993 and 1995. Besides, he also attended the Sao Paulo Art Biennial in 1994.
