Biography

Born in Shanghai. Graduated from the senior high school of the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1989, and the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree in 1994; the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree in 1997. Working Experience: researcher of sculptural art, Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1997-1999, He is now professor of the sculpture workshop of the Fine Art College, Shanghai Normal University, and Director of the Invisible Gallery at Shanghai Normal University. Graduate Show of Central Academy of Fine Arts 1997, October Exhibition for Beijing Youth Sculptors in 1998, the 9th Exhibition of National Fine Arts, Chinese Sculptures Annual Exhibition, Oil Paintings & Sculptures by Teachers from the Fine Art college, Shanghai Normal University in 1999, the 50th Anniversary of Shanghai Arts, Youth Sculptor Invitation Exhibition, Sea Level-Paintings & Sculptures Invitation Exhibition 2000, Conversations with Henry Moore-Sculptures Invitation Exhibition in 2000, 2001 Salon d'Autumn, Guang Ci Xiang Jing 2002-Box of Democracy, Chinese Myths-Contemporary Art Exhibition, 32nd Grosse Kunst Ausstellung Dusseldorf, People’s Gala-Venice Biennial Exhibition in 2001, Rotate 180 Degrees in 2002, Different Choices-Born in the 60s, Sculpture by Xiang Jing and Guangci, Beijing Art Biennale in 2003, Witness-Sculpture of Xiang Jing and Guangci, China Imagination: Chinese Contemporary Sculptural Art, MMAC Art College / Performance Festival 2004.
