Miao Xiao Chun relates his virtual world: No idea where do I come from and where will I go, but I do know there are lots of materials coming in and going out of my body. Those materials evacuated from my body will continue to enter and exit countless plants, animals and people. I am once a container, one of the spots to be passed through.
In contrast with all the life history, the history of art is so trivial; but in comparison with the life of an individual, the history of art is considerably long. I have extracted some works that are related with water and deeply moved me from the not too long nor too short history of art. I have reinterpreted these works with the latest digital method and attempted to describe the great connection between water and life. I have used the three dimensional images in my computer to transpose the hundreds or the thousands of people in these paintings. Metabolism is like the water that flows into my body: I use this method to “flow” into another generation’s specific work and from that “evolves” a new art work that connects with the flesh and the blood.
