From February 8 to March 2, artist Wu Meng-Chang will participate in the exhibition "Here-Elsewhere: Eight Enchantments to Transmute Time and Space" at Kunstquartier Bethanien Studio 1 in Berlin. The exhibition presents the eight contemporary Taiwanese artists who explore and reconstruct their own cultural traditions through the use of their preferred media, such as steel and stone sculpture, as a metaphor for reflecting on modern life in their unique narratives. While gazing at the present and peeking into the past, it connects the memory and perception of time and space between the present and the past, echoing the theme of "Here-Elsewhere" and demonstrating the differences and interrelationships between each other.

Kunstquartier Bethanien, formerly known as the Deaconess Hospital Bethanien, is a historic building from the 19th century that is now used as an exhibition space for international exchange and contemporary art. By narrating and contextualizing the sculptural installations "here", the exhibition brings the imagination and memories of "elsewhere" to this place, in dialogue with the history and culture of the site and the city.
