The works of artists Lai Chiu-Chen and Wang Liang-Yin will be presented in the exhibition Still Life at the Children's Art Education Center of the Taipei Fine Art Museum from 22 March to 31 August. The exhibition explores the relationship between objects, memories, and emotions through the various works of nine artists. In particular, the juxtaposition of toy parts and real objects in Lai Chiu-Chen's “Part of Toys III” demonstrates the connection and dialogue of objects and memories between the abstraction and figuration; Wang Liang-Yin evokes multiple associations and emotions through the depiction of a birthday cake in “Last Wish”, inviting the audience to look at the everyday objects to open up a variety of imaginative and sensory experiences.

Lai Chiu-Chen was born in Jiufen, Taiwan in 1970, Lai graduated from Taipei National University of Arts, Graduate School of Fine Arts M.F.A. Program. His works were collected by several significant art Museum, such as Long Museum (Shanghai), Taipei Fine Arts Museum and National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. He has won many awards, including First Prize of Taipei Arts Award, Dr. Stanley Ho Foundation Art Award, First Prize of Kuo Po-Chuan Fine Arts Award, First Prize of Tunghua Rotary Club Fine Arts Award, First Prize of Grand Award of Prix de Paris, etc.

Wang Liang-Yin was born in Yunlin, Taiwan in 1979, received M.F.A. from Taipei National University of the Arts. She has been not only in Taiwan but also overseas for exhibitions such as New York, Germany, UK, Japan, Jakarta, Korea, and China. She had solo exhibitions “Happy Birthday, My Dear” at Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taipei in 2014, “The End of the Rainbow” at Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei in 2018. Wang's artworks are collected by National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Art Bank Taiwan, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Long Yen Foundation, Taipei National University of the Arts, Taichung County Seaport Art Center, and Sunpride Foundation, and are not only selected by Kaohsiung Award but also won the first prize of NewPerspective Art in Taiwan Dimensional Creation Series, Long Yen Foundation Creative Arts Award, Chang Hsing Lung Award and so on.
